In a rather intresting order the judicial magistrate Manish Singh allowed bail to the accused, Richa Bharti, while directing her to donate one copy of the religious text to Sadar Anjuman Islamia Committee and four copies to other libraries of various schools, according to a report in Times of India. The magistrate in its order said Distribute copies of Quran'. This an intresting move which signifies the use of alternatives to prison where community service is one of the available options.
Bharti was arrested on a complaint by Sadar Anjuman Committee at Pithoriya near Ranchi over a post shared by her in Facebook regarding the lynching of Tabarez Ansari.
Bharti's lawyer Ramparvesh Singh said that the Court has directed her to produce before it five receipts of distributing Quran within 15 days.
